The ask
Skip one coffee a month. Help someone get their first pair.
I have to be honest about something, because it's never sat right with me: Some of the people who need these shoes most can’t afford them.
So I started a fund to hopefully help. If we can get about 30 monthly supporters, we can give away about 1 pair a month.
A coffee is about $5. About thirty of them buys a pair of shoes for someone who couldn’t afford a pair otherwise.
Pick $5, $10 or $20 a month. 90% goes into one fund, and the other 10% covers the card fees and running it. When the fund holds the cost of a pair (about $130), I make that pair and send it free to someone who applied.
Once a month, I email you what came in, what went out and who got the shoes. So basically a guaranteed smile in your inbox at least once a month!

Answers
Where does my money go? 90% goes into one fund and 10% covers the card fees and running the Club. When the fund holds the cost of a pair, I order the shoes, my cobblers make them and I ship them free.
Who gets the shoes? A person with a disability who applied and couldn't afford them at full price. I pick one name at random each month and film it. Many people apply, so the odds are low. If you need shoes soon, order a pair.
Can I apply if I'm not a member? Yes. Paying is never needed to apply.
Why $130? That is what a pair costs me to make: the shoe, the cobbler, the zipper and postage. I make it at cost.
Is it tax-deductible? No. Zipped is a for-profit company.
Can I give once instead? Yes, on the Shoe Grant page.
